Hi, I’m Sam! :)
I’ve been playing video games ever since I was a kid as a way to bond with my dad and entertain myself as an only child growing up. Watching anime from a young age is what sparked my interest in art. Now, my dream is to be a successful illustrator. There are so many styles and stories to be played with and explore!

FAQs
What are your biggest career aspirations?
I’ve been playing League of Legends since I was 12 and have been playing Valorant since Beta. Needless to say, I am a big fan of Riot Games and would love to work for them someday. I also enjoy games from plenty of other studios and the thought of working for indie games is also very charming.
Ultimately, I want to work for any studio where I can utilize my strengths and improve my craft, whether it’s triple A, indie, or outsource. Eventually in the far far future I’d like to go freelance so I could have more freedom to start a family, but that’s a long time from now, haha~
What made you want to become an illustrator?
After dipping my toes in a lot of game art paths, from 3D modeling to texture painting, I realized that at the end of the day, I enjoy painting illustrations the most and would rather spend time grinding to make a career out of that than try to get a job I would ultimately feel unfilled and dissatisfied with. I love to paint, I don’t want to bother pretending I would be happier doing anything else.
What’s your favorite video game?
I’ve been playing FPS games since I was 6 or 7 years old thanks to my dad and his modded Xbox. To this day, I thoroughly enjoy FPS games. Currently, my favorites are Valorant and CS2.
Outside of FPS, I (sometimes :P) enjoy playing League of Legends. League is the game that inspired me most to become an artist. The impact League of Legends has had on my life is immense, and I can go on about how much I love the art and in-game universe. It is the game that made me move from anime art to more realistic fantasy art. It is responsible for giving me the courage to pursue a career in video games as a whole. Regardless of how many games I cycle through, I always come back to playing a game of League, the video game that feels like home to me.
I’ve owned Dead by Daylight since initial release date and it is go to comfort game whenever I want to play alone. Killer or survivor, I just adore this game.
Other favs include:
-Tekken 8
-It Takes Two
-Detention
-Baldur’s Gate
What subjects do you enjoy painting most?
As you can probably tell from my work, I like painting characters, especially women. I seek to broaden my abilities and like to try out everything, but I always find myself defaulting to drawing hot women, lol.
Who are your biggest art inspirations?
My favorite old time master is J.C Leyendecker, followed by John Singer Sargent and Gil Elvgren.
My current modern day favorite artists include:
Atey Ghailan, Horace Hsu, Jeremy Anninos, Alex Flores, Augusto Quirino, Mika Pikazo, Yoneyama Mai, Kim Jung Gi, Suke, Jocelin Carmes, Jordan Grimmer, Cedric Peyravernay, and many, many more….
What do you like to do outside of art?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE stationary and journaling! Fountain pens, Tomoe river paper, washi tape, stickers, brush pens, Traveler’s Notebooks, Hobonichi, Galen Leather, Delfonics Pouches, etc etc, I love it all.
I like to read books, both fiction and non-fiction. Barnes and Nobles is probably one of my favorite places to frequent. I can always spend a whole day looking at all the books and relaxing at the cafe.
I also love movies, tv shows, and anime. My favorite thing to do with people is to watch films together. I tend to rewatch a lot of my favorite movies and shows, including films such as Avatar, The Incredibles, Jojo Rabbit, La La Land, The Devil Wears Prada, and Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Cooking is another skill I pride myself in. I’m by no means a master, but all my friends love my cooking and I can eat my own cooking everyday.
Wow, You made it to the bottom! You’ve earned yourself the ability to see my archives, hehe….
